Pitman Pantry

Pitman Pantry, located in rear of the First Baptist Church of Pitman, is an ecumenical ministry of local churches that provides food to families who are food insecure. The majority of recipients live in Pitman, but no one is turned away. While the Pantry receives food from the USDA and the Food Bank of South Jersey, much of our food is donated by local congregations and other friends in the community. Financial contributions allow the Pantry to purchase some food items.

Good Shepherd volunteers work on even Tuesdays from 5:30 PM to IMG_05587:00 PM. Volunteers inventory, shop, stock shelves, pack, and distribute food. Additional volunteers are always needed and welcomed. Pitman Pantry is a great place to introduce young people to the habit of volunteering!

Pitman Pantry is open: Tuesday 6:00 – 7:00 PM, Wednesday 4:00 – 5:00 PM, Thursday 12:00 – 1:00 PM.
