Deacon Carl was born and raised in South Jersey and loves his home state! After receiving his undergraduate degree from Philadelphia College of Bible, he went on to receive his Masters from Glassboro State College in Education.

He has spent almost all his professional career in sales and marketing in the Christian publishing arena, the Photo Marketing arena and the Hobby Association. Deacon Carl has four children: Jennifer, Tara, Betsy and Jonathan, and six grandchildren. His wonderful wife, Ellie, is his strongest supporter and has been with him through all of his recent journeys in the church!

After joining the Episcopal Church in the fall of 2001, God began to lead him into many areas of service including the choir, Vestry, the Brotherhood of St Andrew and the opportunity of being a Lay Eucharistic Minister.  He did not know that his calling to serve was just beginning!

In May of 2012, Carl was ordained a Deacon in the Diocese of New Jersey and has served at St Andrews Episcopal Church in Mt Holly, Grace Church Haddonfield and, now in his home Parish, the Church of the Good Shepherd in Pitman!

He and Ellie own their own marketing and sales company where they work with Christian and secular publishers, gift companies, film producers and music companies across the country and overseas.
