“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!” – Psalm 100
Under the capable leadership of our Director of Music Ministries and Organist, Meg Cornely, Good Shepherd enjoys the music of several choirs.
Good Shepherd’s Adult Choir enhances the liturgy by lifting their voices in song, and by providing vocal support to the congregation at the 10 AM service and at other designated times throughout the year. Rehearsal is held on Thursday evenings at 7:15. New members are needed and always welcome to be part of this choral ministry.
From the Lenten Cantata performed in May 2018.
The Handbell Choir enhances our worship services at various times throughout the year. The medley of songs offered at the late Christmas Eve service is a highlight of the evening. New members are always welcome. The Choir rehearses at 6:30 on Thursday evenings. New members are always welcome to be part of this choral ministry.
Our children have the opportunity to make a “joyful noise” in the Children’s Choir. This choir sings at the early Christmas Eve service, the Christmas pageant, and various times throughout the year. Rehearsals are held after the every Sunday after the 10AM service.
The Good Shepherd Youth Ensemble. We rehearse after the Sunday 10AM service from 11:30 to 12:00. Members of the Children’s Choir should go to that rehearsal first. Any of our youth with at least one year of school or private instruction is encouraged to join. The more the merrier! Please contact Jim Wynkoop (email@example.com) if you are interested. We still have need for several instruments including, but, not limited to Clarinet, Trombone, and French Horn.
