“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!” – Psalm 100
Under the capable leadership of our Director of Music Ministries and Organist, Meg Cornely, Good Shepherd enjoys the music of several choirs.
Good Shepherd’s Adult Choir enhances the liturgy by lifting their voices in song, and by providing vocal support to the congregation at the 10 AM service and at other designated times throughout the year. Rehearsal is held on Thursday evenings at 7:15. New members are needed and always welcome to be part of this choral ministry.
The Handbell Choir enhances our worship services at various times throughout the year. The medley of songs offered at the late Christmas Eve service is a highlight of the evening. New members are always welcome. The Choir rehearses at 6:30 on Thursday evenings. New members are always welcome to be part of this choral ministry.
Our children have the opportunity to make a “joyful noise” in the Children’s Choir. This choir sings at the early Christmas Eve service, the Christmas pageant, and various times throughout the year. Rehearsals are held after the every Sunday after the 10AM service.
NEW!!! — On February 4th the Good Shepherd Youth Ensemble is finally beginning. Our rehearsals will be immediately after each Sunday 10AM service and last for about a half an hour. Presently plans are to play twice in the spring, one time being for Easter. The fall plans include playing at Holly Fair in December, and the Youth Christmas Eve service. Any of our youth with at least one year of school or private instruction is encouraged to join. The more the merrier! Please contact Jim Wynkoop (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are interested. We still have need for several instruments including, but, not limited to Clarinet, Trombone, and French Horn
