Women at the Well

FDAADD1B-B4B8-4448-A515-C44234892159All women in the Episcopal Church are members of the Episcopal Church Women (ECW) organization.  Women at the Well, the Good Shepherd chapter of the Woodbury District Diocese of New Jersey ECW, is a group of women who share Christ’s love through outreach, fellowship and spiritual growth. Meetings are on the second Monday of each month, September through June, and all of the women in our congregation are encouraged to become active members of this group.08C72151-F77C-478E-9656-1E9B9907F9CC

Monthly meetings and the annual Building Faith and Fellowship (BFF) women’s retreat provide opportunities to promote fellowship and spiritual growth. Outreach projects have included community services such as the Pitman Pantry,  Mothers Matter, the NJ Period Project and Angels Community Outreach of Pitman.  Reaching beyond the local community, projects have included a campaign to fund a water well  and other worthy causes through Episcopal Relief and Development, and participation in the United Thank Offering of the Episcopal Church.  Within Good Shepherd, Women at the Well support the Nancy Wasilnak Scholarship Fund, which provides a generous scholarship for college-bound members of Good Shepherd.  IMG_0537The outreach projects and fundraising events of Women at the Well are successful because of participation and generous support from the entire Good Shepherd church family.
