My name is Mother Susan. If you haven’t been to Church of the Good Shepherd in a while, or even if you’ve been here all along, please consider this a Special Invitation from me to you!

There’s a lot going on here! Something for everybody!

Sunday, September 11 is Homecoming Sunday! You are invited to a special luncheon of hot dogs, chips, lots of homemade salads and desserts and best of all, special events. This Sunday we welcome longtime member Mark Nicolle to our pulpit to preach. And we welcome you and your family to register for Sunday School.

Our Sunday School rooms have been refreshed as has our Sunday School curriculum. Bring your kids for new and exciting lessons! We are redoing our Nursery and even the bathrooms are greatly improved! Our High School young people will have their own room. All of this is due to the hard work of our gifted renovation guys.

+ Sunday, September 18 is the first day of Sunday School classes and also when we will bless our refreshed facilities

+ We are also having a Blessing of the Backpacks on September 18

Adults — please don’t feel left out!

+ Choir begins practicing this Thursday @ 7 PM and returns to support our worship this Sunday!

+ The Brotherhood of St. Andrew returns to its regular schedule of meeting on the first Wednesday of every month beginning tonight @ 7 PM.

+ The Women at the Well starts up next Monday with a wine/soft drink and cheese “Getting To Know Us” on Monday, September 12 @ 7 PM.

+ Caring Hands begins meeting again on Tuesday, 9/13 @ 9:30 AM.

+ Uppity Women of the Bible, a Bible Study, continues @ 9:30 AM onThursday 9/22.

+ Our evening Bible Study will return on Wednesdays @ 7 PM in October with a study of the Old Testament. We are led in this study by Professor Amy-Jill Levine of Vanderbilt University Divinity School. The class is facilitated by Mother Susan.
